V každom prípade, aj u nás sa usadili osy, v streche nad garážou, a to dokonca hneď dva druhy - veľké osy aj menšie osičky. V štípaní sú rovnaké, vraj tie malé vedia byť občas aj agresívnejšie ako tie veľké.
Nemyslela som si, že zničiť ich hniezdo bude vďaka neprístupnej streche trocha náročnejšia a hlavne finančne nákladnejšia práca, avšak pre budúcnosť už viem, že s týmto fenoménom asi budem musieť rátať. V týchto končinách sa osám páči a darí, a deratizéri sem chodia pravidelne...
Ako ich teda odstrániť?
Z receptov starých materí vraj funguje toto:
Do 1,5 litrovej pet fľašky treba naliať tak do polovice pivo a kľudne aj sladký sirup, na fľašku niekde do hornej tretiny vyrezať otvor aby osy nalietavali. Fľašu treba zavrieť vrchnákom a zavesiť blízko k miestu, kadiaľ lietajú. Osy majú radi alkohol a sladké, opijú sa a utopia vo fľaši :-)
Inak funguje systém: počkať do zimy keď je pod 15 stupňov, ideálne keď už mrzne - osy vymrznú a hniezdo sa dá ľahko zvesiť a vyhodiť. Dobrý tip, ale obyčajne ich treba zničiť skôr, ešte v lete, kým celkom intenzívne ohrozujú :-)
Keď sa nedá čakať do jesene, tak aspoň počkať do noci keď už osy spia, riadne do hniezda nastriekať biolit alebo hocičo čo kántri hmyz, potom hniezdo zhodiť do igelitového vreca a ak sa dá, tak aj vydymiť alebo rovno celé spáliť. Toto sa ale nie vždy dá...
Keď k osám nie je prístup, ostáva len deratizér - ten príde, všetko riadne vyšpliecha kontaktným roztokom a osy z toho do troch dní pokapú.
Takže kde hľadať pomoc, keby čosi?:
1. u miestnych hasičov... (ak je prístupný terén...)
2. u včelárov možno... (Zväz včelárov z www.vcely.sk neodpovedá...)
3. u deratizérov... (je ich málo, všetci robia všetko len osy nie...)

Our house also had these strange disturbing guests. They built their nest under the roof in garage, which was not easily reachable to destroy. Furthermore, we had 2 types of them - large ones and small ones. They say, both are same dangerous for people, sometimes those small ones are even more aggresive than the other ones.
I did not think destroying them would be a more complicated and more expensive work to do. But for the future I know, I have to calculate with this fact as well - wasps like this region and deratization people visit villages around quite often...
How to destroy them?
The receipes of our grand mothers say:
Put some beer in the 1,5 l PET bottle, you can add some very sweet syrup as well. Mate a hole in the plain third of the bottle, close the bottle and fix it somewhere near the wasp nest. Wasps like alcohol and sweets, they get drunk and sink in your bottle :-)
Otherwise this works perfectly: wait until winter comes, if the temperatures are below 15 degrees, better it freezes, wasps get frozen and you can throw out their nest with the whole population inside. Good tip, but you usually need to destroy it during the summer time :-)
So - if you cannot wait till the autumn, wait at least until night comes when wasps get sleepy. Put a lot of biolit or any insectiside in their nest, then throw it down to a large bag - and - if possible, burn them inside. This is not always possible, but if you can do so, it is really helpfull...
If you cannot reach the wasp nest, the only solution is to call a deratization company - they come, put a lot of chemical stuff everywhere and wasps die within 3 days.
How to find help if needed?:
1. at local firemen... (if the nest is reachable...)
2. at bee-keepers... (Bee-keepers association does not really communicate...)
3. at deratization companies... (but you need to find the one working with wasps as well...)

we don´t have any contact and his ring bell is destroyed, unfortunately.
and this is all, no one else works with wasps here.
